‘Australian Made’ to receive funding boost
The Albanese Government is injecting $5 million to make the iconic green and gold Australian Made logo more recognisable across the globe.
By backing Australian Made we’re backing our belief in Australian products and manufacturing.
New funding will allow the Australian Made Export Initiative program to undertake a range of new activities designed to scale-up Australian product sales in countries such as China, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Australian Made products are internationally prized for being of the highest quality and safety standards, and we want more Australian companies to benefit from this enviable reputation.
That’s why there will be a particular focus on cracking into new markets in the global beauty, health, wellness and pet-care industries.
The grant will roll out over three years from July 2025, and seeks to:
- Build the profile and awareness of the logo.
- Crack down on misuse of the logo and protect and strengthen the legal position of the logo.
- Facilitate export education and provide new channels to market.
- Provide opportunities for logo users to gain brand exposure.
- Increase prominence of logo on products and marketing in overseas markets.
Quotes attributable to the Hon. Ed Husic, Minister for Industry and Science:
