Visit to Singapore
Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic will travel to Singapore between Sunday, 15 December and Tuesday, 17 December.
Further strengthening the two countries strong bonds, Minister Husic will use the visit to expand partnerships and develop opportunities across innovation, science and technology.
Meeting with senior counterparts, the Minister will discuss opportunities for the two nations to work closely together on artificial intelligence and research.
The visit will include local academic and research facilities, where developments in artificial intelligence will be showcased alongside opportunities for further collaboration.
Minister Husic will also provide updates on the Albanese Government’s $15 billion National Reconstruction Fund.
Following the recent Singapore-Australia Joint Ministerial Committee meeting and the 9th Annual Leaders’ Meeting between Prime Minister Albanese and Prime Minister Lee, Minister Husic will further build on Australia’s strong engagement with Singapore.
