$22 million NRF investment to secure sensitive data
Australia’s classified information will be safer and more secure with the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation announcing its first investment in the Defence Capability priority area.
Minister for Industry and Science Ed Husic today welcomed the $22.5 million investment in Vault Cloud (Vault), an Australian-based hyperscale cloud computing provider.
Founded in 2012, Vault’s capabilities integrate multiple layers of advanced security measures to protect data classified by the government and defence sector.
The investment by the NRF will be used by Vault to deliver additional security capabilities and grow the depth of its offerings, including Artificial Intelligence, Deployed Tactical Cloud and the development of Vault’s SECRET Cloud.
Vault has worked closely with the Australian Government for many years, and this investment will give greater sovereign control over this critical Australian-based advanced cloud computing technology.
Since its first investment last month the NRF has provided more than $100 million in funding, with a pipeline of investments on the way.
