G20 Ministers agree on role of digitalisation in the economy

10 April 2017

The Australian Government has welcomed the outcome of last week’s G20 meetings in Germany where discussions were held on how to maximise the contribution that digitalisation can make to the economy.

G20 Ministers responsible for the Digital Economy, including the Assistant Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, Craig Laundy, met in Dusseldorf from 6-7 April.

“Australia believes it is important to spread the benefits of the digital economy and the positive changes it will bring,” Mr Laundy said.
